As part of our Fraud Prevention Program, Harnett County prefers Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for payments to vendor accounts.

With EFT you will receive payment of invoices due directly into your bank account. Your payment will be available to you within three business days.

To help facilitate vendors using EFT, we have implemented our Vendor Self Service system. VSS provides web-based access to vendor information and records. All transactions that occur after October 2018 (PO's, invoices and EFT/checks) will be available online. Vendors also can update their address, contact information, and commodities information. All vendors should periodically review their profile and submit any changes or updates accordingly.

Vendors that have previously registered through the Vendor Self Service site can click on the “Log In” link located at the top right of the home page. All others should click on the Registration button located to the left to begin. Existing Vendors will need their current Vendor ID (located on a recent payment or purchase order received from Harnett County) and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to register.

New Vendors should follow the 5-Step registration process. A Vendor Self Service User’s Guide is available for download under the Resources section on the top right of the home page. Valid W9, E-Verify and ACH authorization forms are required before approval. They can be uploaded at the end of the registration process. Blank forms are available for download and can be located under the Resources section on the top right of the home page.
